The place to get creative!

We have a great range of craft activities to offer in our bright and cheerful cafe and we can't wait to welcome you in! Our experienced team are on hand to guide and support you with whatever you choose to create. With so many options there's creative fun for the whole family, regardless of age or ability. Booking is highly recommended, especially at weekends and school holidays, although it's not always necessary at quieter times.

Pottery Painting

Our most popular activity by far is 'Pottery Painting'. We have a huge range of unglazed 'bisque' pottery to choose from. With some helpful hints and tips from our friendly team plus top quality glaze paints and tools, you're sure to create something to be proud of! Once you've finished painting, your masterpiece is left with us to be glazed and fired in our kiln then it's usually ready to collect within 7-10 days.

Foam Clay

Foam Clay is a fabulous air-drying modelling clay with a very soft, foam paste consistency containing small polystyrene beads. It can be modelled on its own or can be used to coat, wrap and cover a variety of items and surfaces making it perfect to decorate our ornamental pottery shapes. Leave it to dry for a few hours and the clay adheres as it dries and sets firm. Great fun for all ages and abilities, foam clay is super tactile and easy to use so suitable for all the family as your designs can be as simple or detailed as you like. Try it - you'll love it!

Pottery with Acrylics

This is our 'make and take' alternative to the traditional glazed and fired pottery which is perfect if you need to be able to take it away on the day (rather than leave it with us for 7-10 days to be glazed and fired). Our wide range of acrylic paints and glitter glues work brilliantly on decorative items such as figurines and wall plaques but they are not suitable for use on tableware (as it is not food safe or washable). So if you have your heart set on pottery painting but time is of the essence, then grab yourself a figurine with one of our acrylic paint sets and get creative!

Or continue the fun at home with one of our fab takeaway kits!
